The estimated sample size was 5-10 patients. SPSS v.24 was used. Pearson's X2 was applied to determine statistical significance. RESULTS : Data collected from 7 patients admitted to the ICU of the HGUMM, with significance level less than 0.05 and confidence interval higher than 95%. 57.14% were female patients and 42.86% male. All were aged between 68-85 years. Of the participating professionals, 42.86% reported having received training in ultrasound, but 57.14% reported no training at all. CONCLUSION: Clinical ultrasound complements the anamnesis and physical examination. It is advantageous because of its reliability, safety, reproducibility, being dynamic, cost savings, easy movementwithout the need to move the patient, allowing repeated checks and safety.
