Cutaneous wounds, especially chronic ones, are a serious public health problem due to their high prevalence, difficulty in healing, high recurrence rates, causing a high socio-economic impact in terms of costs to the health and social security system, in terms of professional care, use of therapeutic resources for healing, absenteeism from work and reduced quality of life related to daily and leisure activities.
