A field experiment was conducted during rabi and kharif seasons of 2014-15 and 2015-16 at Bikaner to evaluate the effect of integrated nutrient management on yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L) and direct & residual effect of nutrients on succeeding pearl millet. Experiment was laid out in a split plot design with three replications comprising different treatment combinations. Incorporation of 75% RDF + 5 t FYM /ha+ Azotobacter + PSB in wheat, significantly increased all yield attributes and yield (4.12 t/ha) of wheat and uptake of nutrients (N, P, K) in both grain and straw of wheat over…mehr

Incorporation of 75% RDF + 5 t FYM /ha+ Azotobacter + PSB in wheat, significantly increased all yield attributes and yield (4.12 t/ha) of wheat and uptake of nutrients (N, P, K) in both grain and straw of wheat over control and other treatments, but remained statistically at par with 100% RDF + 5 t FYM /ha+ Azotobacter + PSB. In residual study the yield of pearl millet were significantly higher under all INM treatments applied in preceding wheat over control and 100% RDF. Direct incorporation of fertilizers (i.e. 0, 50% and 75% RDF) mainly 75% RDF to pearl millet also significantly increased the yield attributes and yield of pearl millet. A strong positive correlation was also observed between yield attributes (effective tillers/m2, spike length, grains/spike etc) and yield of crop.
