Mungbean [Vigna radiata (L). Wilczek] is an important and emerging grain legume that fits in diverse cropping systems across the terai and foothills of Nepal. Mungbean, known as mung is a short duration grain legume crop supplying a substantial portion of protein to the cereal based diet of the Nepalese people. The marginal yield, non-synchronous maturity, poor germination are major constraint of mungbean production. In order to sort out the problem of uneven germination and marginal yield of mungbean a novel technology Nutrient priming had been implemented in my research .The result reveals that nutrient priming significantly affected yield and yield attributes of mungbean (except length of pod). Therefore, to get better yield and benefit from mungbean cultivation it is recommended to implement priming technology for resource poor farmers of Nepal.
