According to the association of accredited naturopathic medical colleges, naturopathic medicine is defined by principles rather than by methods or modalities. Above all, it honours the body's innate wisdom to heal. According to the American Cancer Society, naturopathy is a complete alternative care system that uses a wide range of approaches, such as nutrition, herbs, manipulation of the body, exercise, stress reduction and acupuncture.
Autorenporträt
Mary T. Keane trained as a teacher and pursued that profession, first in England and later in Ireland. Her abiding interest, however, was in the study of health and fitness. Her lifelong research in natural health resulted in the publication of five books on the subject. The message in this book, her sixth publication on health matters, is 'feel better, look younger, live longer'!
