Objective: Determine the nutritional status of children under 5 years of age attended by the SILAIS Las Minas of the municipality of Rosita, RACCN, Nicaragua, 2019. Methodological design: A descriptive cross-sectional research was conducted, the sample consisted of 355 children under 5 years of age, who were attended by the MINSA of the Municipality of Rosita and by the Silais Las Minas. A survey was applied with variables related to sociodemographic characteristics, nutritional status and types of malnutrition.Results: The main sociodemographic characteristics found in the study population were female 55%. Regarding the nutritional status studied, 66% presented normal ranges. Regarding the nutritional status studied, 5% presented moderate acute problems and 3% severe. In relation to chronic malnutrition, 15% of the children had chronic malnutrition and 5% of the children had global malnutrition. Thirty-seven percent of the children in the study had some type of malnutrition either by excess or deficit.
