Humans have dignity as their rights. Individual well-being is essential to sustaining the inter-generational gains in health, productivity, and social engagement that underpin the SDGs. The choices that individuals make regarding foods to produce and market, the diets their families consume, and the care and nurture of nutritionally vulnerable people have a direct bearing on the success or failure of these goals. The SDGs are interlinked & integrated with one another. However, it has a major influence on good health and wellbeing & these are further linked to many other SDGs. Six entry points and four levers are also identified as essential transformations needed to meet the SDGs and accelerate progress across all 17 SDGs at the global level. We must look throughout the food system to address the factors that are driving up the cost of nutritious foods. Concurrently, nutrition represents a process by which individuals achieve their physical and mental growth potential. But malnutrition and disability are also closely interconnected in Ethiopia that suffers from high levels of malnutrition. Thus, the book assesses the nutritional status of children with disabilities in Addis Ababa.
