Children are like clay in a potter's hands. Just as a potter gives a desired shape to the clay in his hands, so do children become what their teachers make them. These days, more and more children live in a household where both parents are working and often, such children are neglected for help, advice and guidance. The consequences of this neglect are staring us in the face: about half of all Indian children are undernourished, more than half suffer from anemia, and a similar proportion escape full immunization . In such circumstances it is the prime responsibility of a teacher to act as a mediator between a child s need and his parents by proving his experiences and knowledge to both of them so that the children as well as their parents both may secure a healthy future. For that it is necessary that the teachers should also be aware of various concepts of health and healthy living. Therefore this study is an attempt to know about the awareness and attitude of elementary students of Sagar district as well as of their teachers and parents also towards food nutrition health education and environmental sanitation, so that appropriate positive measures for development could be taken
