In summary, we synthesized chalcone based ligands ( L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6 and L7) from Dehydroacetic acid and different aromatic, hetro aromatic aldehydes. In summary, we synthesized chalcone based ligands ( L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6 and L7) from Dehydroacetic acid and different aromatic, hetro aromatic aldehydes. Applications of these organic chalcone ligands used as synthones in different organic synthesis like variety of hetrocyclic compounds by Willey method with high yield. All these reaction carried out at normal conditions and characterized by UV, IR, 1HNMR, MASS and Antimicrobial activity with remarkable results. Similarly, all the metal complexes were synthesized from newly synthesized organic chalcone ligands and different metals of first transition series. They also characterized by Elemental analysis, UV, TGA-DTA, XRD and also studied antimicrobial activity with excellent results. No doubt adds to the present knowledge on chemistry of chalcone moiety metal complexes.
