High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Oban Saints Amateur Football Club are a football club from the town of Oban, in the Lorne district of Argyll in Scotland. Formed in 1960 they currently play in the Scottish Amateur Football League. Strip (uniform) colours are gold and navy and home matches are played at either Mossfield Stadium or Glencruitten Park in the town. They were formed by locals who were unable to get a regular game with any of the football clubs then playing in the local "Oban and District Football League". In 1961 they joined that competition and remained there for the next 15 years, achieving a good degree of success, winning the league on eight occasions, as well as winning a number of other tournaments as well.
