Oberthal is a municipality in the district of Konolfingen in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. Oberthal has an area of 10.6 square kilometers (4.1 sq mi). Of this area, 63.4% is used for agricultural purposes, while 31.1% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 5.4% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (0.1%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). The municipality lacks a central village, instead it is made up of scattered settlements and farm houses on the Blasenfluh above the Kiesental (Kiesen Valley).
