ECOOP2002hosted19high-qualityworkshopscoveringalargespectrumof researchtopicsrelatedtoobject-orientedtechnology. Thisyear,theseworkshops wereselectedfrom25proposalsbytheworkshopselectioncommittee,prim- ilyinaccordancewiththeirscienti?cmeritandtheirprobabilityofgenerating livelydiscussion. Thisvolumecontainsthereportsofthose19workshops. Each chaptercoversoneworkshop,summarizingthecurrentresearchbeingcarried outintheworkshoptopic,themajorissuesdiscussed,themainconclusions, andpossibledirectionsforfurtherresearch.
