Petroleum geologist Michael S. Johnson contributed to the discovery of North Dakota's Parshall Field, encompassing more than six million acres. Since launching his consulting firm in 1963, his exploration efforts have focused on the Williston Basin. Michael's honors include Explorer of the Year awards from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists.
