Humanized childbirth is characterized by respecting the physiology, with interventions only if necessary, recommending the desires, choices and needs of the woman and the baby. Obstetric physiotherapy through physiotherapeutic resources respects the principles of humanization and provides the birthing experience as pleasant and safe as possible. This work aims to discuss the contributions of obstetric physiotherapy through the physiotherapeutic resources used in natural humanized labor. Being categorized as a literature review, based on books and articles dated from 2009 to 2020. Among the physiotherapeutic resources most commonly used to assist in the process of humanized natural labor are: respiratory exercises, massotherapy, thermotherapy, kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy, perineal massage and Epi-No®. It was noted that the physiotherapeutic resources provided beneficial results in reducing the pain, duration of labor and reduction of perineal trauma, promoting a more active, humanized and satisfactory birth for women.
