The prevalence of hypertension during pregnancy appears to be low in Goma. Maternal age below 20 years, primigravida, nulliparity, poor quality of prenatal consultations of pregnant women exposed to this disease and obesity have been identified as risk factors. The results of our study on preeclampsia show that the risk factors are primigravida and nulliparity. Spontaneous uterine rupture, one of the complications of pregnancy in its evolution has been observed, against all expectations, at an early age of gestation in our environment.
