This publication is based on 90 German company and framework agreements relating to health at the workplace. An examination is made of how undertakings and administrations deal with the issue of health. The publication illustrates how company regulations can improve the chances of successfully implementing occupational health policies.
The agreements, however, also highlight weaknesses: the systematic implementation of health promotion is still too rare. In particular, not enough attention is given to behavioural prevention and work organisation. Employee involvement is an aspect which also leaves room for improvement.
