More than 500 reproductions illustrate not only well-known works but also many important (and often unexpected) images that have until now been virtually unknown. Redon devotet most of his early career to drawing, etching, and especially black-and-white lithographs, creating a world of unforgettable dreams and nightmares. When he shiftet to color, his art became joyous and light-filled, while retaining the glow of his earlier work.
