WE CALL THEM the Pilgrims, faded by history into a faceless, irrelevant group of nameless religious radicals who came to America to worship God. Sometimes hailed as heros, other times denigrated as illiterate, who were these faded, faceless people who lived more than four hundred years ago? In Saints and Strangers - The Great American Story, Paulette Packard Johnson delves into the human-ness of the Pilgrims, and explores what it would have been like for the individuals who made the treacherous voyage into history.

Autorenporträt
Though currently living in the South, Paulette was born on Cape Cod; with sand between her toes, and regardless of where she lives, she'll always be a Yankee. As a teenager growing up in the Cape Cod woods with no neighbors-and being a basically shy kid?books became Paulette's friends; she was a voracious reader. She took her first venture into writing for fun in the first grade, with a story about a police-officer crossing guard. Paulette's been writing ever since, turning out articles, lyrics, music, manuals, forms, and curriculums, but her true love is writing books.
