Born on April 14, 2000 into an urban middle-class family, Ofelia Fernández began to gain notoriety within the student sector with her combative speeches. After being elected president of the Student Center of the Carlos Pellegrini School, the institution where she attended high school, she quickly became a point of reference for the student body. Since she was a teenager, she has been an activist in the feminist and student movement, participating in demonstrations, activities, conferences, television reports and different interventions of public exposure. She was also the youngest speaker at the G-20 counter-summit organized by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) in November 2018.
