James "Jim" Burd Brewster is the author of the acclaimed "Glad to do it!" series of children's picture books which include Uncle Rocky, Fireman and Officer Jack. He learned to walk in Albany, NY, learned to sail on Lake Champlain, and learned to navigate a Polar Icebreaker in the US Coast Guard. He and Katie lived in Baltimore, MD when Ben (6) and Luke (4 1/2) heard the Uncle Rocky, Fireman stories and visited the Overlea fire house. The family grew to five and moved to Pomfret, MD, outside of Washington, DC. Ben and Luke grew also. Ben is a Marine, married, and father of 5 and Luke works for Apple. Jim' s heart still flutters whenever his three favorite ladies (Wife Katie, Daughter Rachel, Granddaughter Felicity) smile at him. He can be contacted through: www.gladtodoit.net
