The 2000 OGAE Second Chance Contest was the 14th OGAE Second Chance Contest, organised between members of the international Eurovision Song Contest fan club OGAE to select the best song not to make it to the Eurovision Song Contest through each country's national finals. The 2000 Contest was organised by OGAE Turkey, after Turkey's win in the previous year's contest with "Unuttu umu Sand m Anda" by Feryal Ba el. 21 countries took part in the 2000 Contest: Latvia made its Second Chance debut after debuting at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000, and seven countries made their returns to the contest: Estonia, Finland, Macedonia and Switzerland returned after a year's absence, Romania returned after last taking part in 1996, Iceland for the first time since 1994, and Spain for the first time since 1991.
