Autorenporträt
I'm a 60's child. My mother, Josephine Poole is an author and I come from a background surrounded by books and all things arty. We watched very little tv apart from Civilisation and Top of the Pops as my uncle, David Myerscough Jones was a set designer on this show. After dropping out of St Martin's School of Art (more fool me ;( I briefly worked as a singing telegram girl before settling for a career in advertising as an art director. This took me all around the world. Shortly after moving to New Zealand, i became ill. I had a heart attack, a stroke before the doctors found a very large tumour in my heart. I lost my voice completely and was drawn to record everything in my first book, Scorpions on Toast, which is hilarious in parts. It was very strange being taught to speak again by my eight year old son. I'm now back in the UK and this is where my adventure begins in "Oh my Life."
