Researches were conducted in the South of the Russian Far East - in the areas of oil pipelines "Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean" and "Cape Kamenny - De Kastri", gas pipeline Sakhalin - Vladivostok, oil terminals in Kozmino and Perevoznaya bays, etc. Engineering-ecological surveys included assessments of the current state and forecast of possible changes in the natural environment under the influence of anthropogenic load in order to prevent, minimize and eliminate harmful and undesirable environmental and related other consequences. At the stage of monitoring during construction and the beginning of operation the permissible pollution of surface water and river alluvium with metals, oil products and phenols was revealed. The revealed violations and degradation of the soil cover, vegetation and wildlife habitats with competent and long-term reclamation can be minimized to permissible regulatory levels or even eliminated in the future. As a result, the "anthropogenic component" in the system of sustainable development of the territories under study can be corrected, i.e. become manageable to a certain extent.
