She grew up in Freeport, on Long Island NY and raised her family in West Islip, on Long Island NY.When Pamela's son, Nicholas, was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma brain cancer, she could not find books with the information that could help guide her. Pamela had to learn without the written help she needed. Not wanting any family to have to go through the same, she wrote this book hoping to help others walking down this same path.
