James Broschart has retired from several occupations, including college teaching, public television production, technical writing, and bookstore management. He taught English composition to sailors aboard the U.S.S. Independence and wrote emergency management manuals for Department of Energy nuclear sites. His poems have appeared in various journals, including Ars Medica, Blueline, Artemis, The Enigmatist, and Sociological Origins. He resides in southwest Virginia in the midst of the Blue Ridge Mountains with his wife Kay.
