This is a book of poems and devotionals which help readers focus on God and His willingness to be a part of their daily lives. The author has used understandable language and diction to make the book very accessible to readers who are of different backgrounds and different education and want to find daily inspiration. The author's tone is friendly and familiar. The author Alice Hein Schiel, the tenth child of Hugo and Nora Mae Hein, grew up in Somerville, Texas. She graduated from Midwest Bible Institute with a two-year degree in Bible and ministry. She obtained Bachelors and Masters degrees in education from Sam Houston State University. Alice and her husband Bill Schiel who reside in Decker Prairie, Texas are the proud parents of four married children and ten grandchildren. Alice taught Christian education classes for 30 years and public education (junior high and college) for nineteen years. She knows firsthand the stresses of helping run a business, attending college, then teaching school, all as wife and mother raising four children. She learned that inner strength and peace of mind come from being in God's presence daily. Her poetry and devotionals are written in a friendly tone. The goal is to make it easy for you, the reader, to feel God's presence and find His strength. This is her second published book. Her first book Nora Mae, a Remarkable, Insignificant Person won the John E. Weaver Excellent Reads Award for Non-Fiction: Biography. Included (on the front cover and in this book) are two original pencil drawings (Old Yellowed Hat and My Shepherd) by illustrator Caulin Schiel. Sixteen-year-old Caulin is Alice Schiel's grandson and is a previous winner in a Christmas card design contest at Jetstream in Houston, Texas.
