The lack in fresh water and dramatic change in global environment areused concern about the possibility in elicitating some organisms capable of growing and activating in drastic and harsh conditions which now are predictable to be dominant in the near future. A variety of microbes can inhabit extreme environments. Extreme a relative term which is viewed compared to what is normal for human beings. These microorganisms are known as oligotrophs. This work aimed to study the possibility to benefit from such organisms, isolated from poor soils of Fayoum Governorate, as biofertilizers and biocontrol agents for some pathogenic fungi. A survey of the putative N2-fixing oligotrophic bacterial isolates were made on different soil samples collected.
