Autorenporträt
Was born and raised in upstate Marlboro, New York. As a child that loved to color, paint and draw, Krista always knew she wanted to be an artist. It was something that came naturally to her. She went to art school at SUNY Purchase in New York. One summer she completed an internship as a Camp Art teacher and fell in love with teaching art to children. She landed an art teaching position in Bedford, New York. After working there for a few years, she left to travel the world with her soon to be husband. After getting married, Krista finally settled in New Jersey with her husband and two amazing boys. During the summer of 2017, she and her family spent most of the summer in North Carolina. While relaxing at the beach, she watched a crab get picked up by a seagull. It made her wonder what would happen if the crab got away? Just then- the story of Ollie was born. Watching her children play at the beach helped to inspirer the first illustrations of her book, Ollie. Since becoming an author and illustrator she has developed a passion to excite young readers by providing colorful pages and playful characters that engage children in the reading experience. Now Ollie has become a growing series
