Author Carole R. Young worked for 12 years as a K-6 reading teacher in Webster, New York. She and her husband, Donald, have two adult children and seven grandchildren. On Pins and Needles is her third book. Illustrator Mary Lynn Miraglia worked for 33 years as a Special Education Teacher. She and her husband, John, live in Webster, New York, overlooking beautiful Lake Ontario. They have three adult children and one grandchild, and are anxiously awaiting the birth of their second! On Pins and Needles is her second illustrated book.
