Twenty-five operas from the great repertoire (mainly French and Germanic), from the 18th/19th c., from Gluck to Strauss, via Donizetti and Gounod, etc. Thirty years of collaborations (1980-2010) with renowned institutions (Deutsche Grammophon, Salzburger Festspiele, Avant-Scène Opéra, Fondazione Cini, Venezia, etc.).This is a dramaturgical study, i.e. all the text and context that enable us to better understand a particular opera, but also opera in general. Opera as a genre, with its evolving rules, social context, public reception and so on. So why are we still so interested in this genre-ultra-artificial but ultra-attractive opera, to the extent that it has become, for example, a marker of development and globalization?
