Autorenporträt
Candy Hemphill Christmas is a third generation gospel singer--her grandmother's siblings formed the legendary Happy Goodman Family, and her parents, the Hemphills, are one of the most well-known names in gospel music. When she was thirteen her song "I Came on Business for the King" climbed to the top of the gospel music charts. She later sang in concerts and reunions with the Gaithers. After years of feeling called to serve the homeless and poor, she began The Bridge Ministry, which feeds, clothes, and shares the gospel with people each week under the Jefferson Street Bridge in Nashville. She is married to Kent Christmas and they have two children. They live in Tennessee.
