Autorenporträt
Neil J. Smith, born in the Bahamas and raised in New York, is deeply influenced by his time spent at a Catholic Worker Farm on Staten Island. His encounters with prominent civil and social activists, including Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, shaped his moral compass. Smith's experiences at the farm, which serves as the primary setting for his book A Goodbye To Rita & Charlie, have deeply impacted his life and values. This book is a tribute to his three elder sisters and the individuals who have touched his heart and helped him build a life.
