Autorenporträt
Dr. Toni S. Muhammad a master teacher, higher education career spans 25 years with faculty positions held at colleges and universities in Louisiana, Illinois, North Carolina and Georgia. She holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Sociology and a Doctor of Arts in Humanities with an ethnic studies concentration in African and African American Studies from Clark Atlanta University. She is one of the first women in the United States to complete a dissertation about the notions of womanhood in the Nation of Islam. She considers herself a trailblazer and torchbearer for Muslim (and non-Muslim) girls and women inside and outside of the classroom. She is known and respected by her students and colleagues for her tireless mentoring and service toward academic excellence. She currently teaches at Kennesaw State University in the African and Africana Diaspora Studies Program.
