Annie Penland was born May 8, 1951 in Camden, Arkansas but grew up and still resides a few miles outside Houston, Texas. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, foster mom, teacher, rescuer of abused animals and life-long artist. Annie believes that "LIFE IS ART". She combines her love of Art, and her love of Books and Children to be a children's book author and illustrator.
