I'm grateful and humbled by the warmth and generosity of each of you. I've turned to travel in this volume. Growing up, I traveled the globe with my parents, from Japan, to Germany, to India, to Hawaii. This book is full of tips I've gleaned from my travels. If even one of these makes your traveling easier, I've done my job. I hope you find many more useful. Your mode of travel doesn't matter. Airplane or train, car or motorhome, each has its shortcomings. Whether you stay in a luxury hotel or economy lodge for the weekend, you'll find something in my book you won't be able to live without. Each person travels differently.
