As an elder at a church in Leeds with around 60 university students in regular attendance and a speaker at apologetic events on university campuses, I have a keen interest in understanding Leeds students' central objection to the Christian faith. This insight will enable me to equip my student congregants with the most relevant defence for their faith and deliver an apologetic targeted toward the university, which 'is the place where everything we think we know can be challenged and where new ideas are generated and transmitted to future generations.' (Willetts, 2017:1). The aim of the One Objection project therefore, is: To understand Leeds university students' central objection to the Christian faith and explore the most effective response to it in a church sermon aimed at equipping Christian, and challenging non-Christian, students.
