For Sierra Leone, the period from 1991 through 2002 was one of tremendous political turmoil which led to chaos and violence. In One Stone Revolution, author Akibo Robinson provides a firsthand account of the conflict in Sierra Leone in the late nineties. Based on a diary he kept during this time, Robinson tells of fleeing the violence with his family, crossing through countries on the roads of West Africa to Ghana to find refuge. He shares an insider's perspective of the history of the conflict as well as the direct impact on the country's inhabitants and government. From a historical perspective, One Stone Revolution describes the ugly, untold stories of the mayhem of the May 25, 1997 junta and the January 6 invasion of Freetown.
