Autorenporträt
As a naturalist, researcher, and educator, I have been lucky enough to spend the past 11 years of my career studying, observing, and teaching others about the Outer Banks dolphins. The Onion story was born during a stroller walk with my infant daughter years ago. Recently, in search of a good dolphin ecology story to teach her 1st grade class, the Onion story was finally finished. Learning about the Outer Banks dolphins has been an amazing experience and I am grateful for this "glimpse" into their lives. When I am not with the dolphins, I am busy raising my two human "calves," Emma and Jonathan, with my husband, Jay, and our dog, Winnie, at our Kill Devil Hills home. Together, we enjoy surfing, sailing, biking, kayaking, and visiting the beautiful Atlantic ocean.
