Mat Coward lives in Somerset, Britain. "Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine" called him "One of the funniest writers in the history of crime fiction." As well as the Packham and Mitchell novels, he writes short stories which have been broadcast on BBC Radio, published in scores of anthologies and magazines around the world, and nominated for the Dagger and Edgar awards.
