Open bite is considered one of the most challenging dentofacial deformities to treat. Prior to any treatment the etiology of the open bite should always be clearly understood and addressed, if possible, to minimize the tendency for relapse post treatment. The importance of understanding the etiology of open bite and address the causes of the malocclusion in each patient should be emphasized. This book reviews the etiologies, dentofacial morphology, treatment modalities, retention, and stability of anterior open bite.
