The monograph considers the problem of gender from the perspective of phenomenological ethics, which is a descriptive account of the work we do in opening ourselves up to the Other. In this perspective, the reconstruction of the foundations of gender thinking, the existential interpretations of E. Levinas' philosophical position and Tai Chi symbolism are combined not in the authors' orientation toward the study of existing symbolizations of gender or the philosophical concepts explaining them, but in the intention to gain the "experience of openness".
