The book tries to articulate how Rural district Councils can foster the operations of Income generating projects as a way to continue delivering services in their areas of influence by generating the much needed revenue. Rural councils in most southern African Countries especially Zimbabwe have to supplement their revenue generation so as to fully fund their District operations. Mostly central governments do usher grants to such councils but, as areas of influence do grow such grants tend to diminish to cover the whole district as such these councils will venture into Income generating projects to carry out business projects that will act as an independent source of revenue. Funding and management of these business units tends to befall on Rural councils.
