Intense emotional experiences such as childbirth, learning how to take care of a person who can not clearly communicate her or his desires, and discovering when to put the needs of someone else before your own, have the potential for both extreme pain and joy and the mother is often forced to decide how best to move forward. Society, in general, could benefit from the recognition of the spiritual side of mothering and an awareness of the potential for transformations in consciousness.

B.A.- Women's Studies from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, M.A.- Women's Studies from the University of South Florida- Tampa. Ms. Albee has been a teacher of Language Arts and Social Studies in public schools since graduating in 2008. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and two children.
