Prof. Xunbin Wei received his Ph.D. degree in Physiology & Biophysics from the University of California, Irvine in 1999. He completed his post-doctoral training with Prof. David Clapham at the Childrens Hospital at Harvard Medical School. From 2001-2005, Dr. Wei was a faculty member at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital. From 2006-2010, he was a Professor and Deputy Director of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Fudan University. Currently, he is a Distinguished Professor at the Med-X Research Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has published more than 70 papers in the area of optical techniques for studying cancer and immune system in leading journals such as Nature and PNAS. In addition, Dr. Wei holds 10 patents and one Chinese FDA approval for medical device. Prof. Bobo Gu received his Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2012. After postdoctoral training at the Nanyang Technological University, he joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017, where he is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of optical nanomaterials and exploration of their applications in sensing, imaging, and therapy. He has authored or coauthored over 40 peer-reviewed articles and 3 patents.
