This book described the performance of Bat Algorithm in comparison with Genetic Algorithm for power loss minimisation and voltage profile enhancement in radial distribution network. Power flow model was developed based on load current, Bus Injected to Branch Current (BIBC) and Branch Current to Bus Voltage (BCBV) matrices. The implemented Algorithm was validated on standard IEEE 33-bus radial distribution network and tested on a 62-bus radial distribution network in Kaduna. Simulation were performed on MATLAB R2013b environment.

Kabir Imamuddeen received M. Sc Power System Engineering from Ahmadu Bello university Zaria (ABU), Kaduna, Nigeria in 2017, Post Graduate Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2012 and B.Sc Physics from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto in 2005. Presently he is working with FAAN as Principal Electrical Engineer.
