On comparing two different formulation containing different non aqueous base that is isopropyl myristate and olive oil with common penetration enhancer that is eucalyptus oil, formulation containing isopropyl myristate showed faster drug release and flux as compared to olive oil formulation. Therefore eucalyptus oil act as potent enhancer for both type of organogel but better enhancement is observed withisopropyl myristae thus suggesting synergistic enhancement action. Topically applied organogel were shown to significantly increase in cutaneous absorption of the drugs.
