With a view to improving rice production in Niger, this work was initiated with the objective of determining the factors that influence rice productivity. To this end, a purposive sample of 120 producers was used in the six (6) sections of the Toula perimeter. The data thus collected were analyzed using sphinx software and the Excel 2016 spreadsheet. The results obtained show that all the producers surveyed belong to three age groups (25 - 35 years, 35 - 45 years and 45 - 65 years plus) and that very few women (8.33%) practice rice cultivation. The majority of respondents have a plot of land between 0 and 0.30 ha, with an overall average of 0.29 ha. The level of education of producers has little or no effect on productivity. In addition, variables such as the vegetative cycle, rice variety, type and quantity of fertilizer and environmental factors are the main factors influencing rice productivity in hydro-agricultural schemes. A better understanding of these factors will enable improvement strategies to be adopted.
