Considering that Octave is classified as a high-level programming language, mainly aimed at numerical computation tasks, with specific abilities to solve both linear and nonlinear problems, as well as to carry out various numerical tests. In our country, particularly in the Moquegua Region, we are aware that it is essential to use technological tools in relevant science learning.The main purpose of this research was to determine the influence of the application of Octave software in the relevant learning of calculus I of engineering students.
