The study universe consisted of 553 schoolchildren between the ages of 6 and 12 years old, of which 60% were male and 40% female. The presence or absence of the following pathologies was analyzed: dental caries, gingivitis, abscess of dental origin, open and closed bite or overbite, dental crowding, angular cheilitis, geographic tongue, oral thrush, labial or lingual frenulum, size and number anomalies such as microdontia, macrodontia, hypodontia and hyperdontia, class I, II and III malocclusion, mild, moderate or severe dental fluorosis. The information obtained was used to create an oral health profile, which was analyzed with tables and graphs of statistical information and to develop a preventive management program that could modify the prevalence of the most frequent pathologies such as dental caries, gingivitis, abscesses of dental origin and malocclusions.
