There is little evidence on using Health Technology Assessment in dentistry. Dental implant technology is an example of innovative oral health technology. Dr. Shahrokh Esfandiari is a practicing clinician scientist and the first Canadian dentist with official trainings in Health Technology Assessment (HTA). He has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, a MSc in ¿International Health Technology Assessment and Management¿ , along with his PhD in ¿Oral Health Technology Assessment¿ at McGill University.
